Mission
Somaliland Americans Community is a Virginia-registered 501(c)(3) that builds a nationwide platform for Somaliland communities in the U.S. to connect, share information, and host events - while mobilizing volunteers, donations, and partnerships to support high-impact programs in Somaliland, including agriculture, health initiatives, youth IT education, women’s empowerment, and community capacity building.

History / Background
Founded in 2016, the Somaliland Americans Community was created to strengthen the Somaliland community in Northern Virginia, and we are connecting across the United States to provide a trusted platform for organizing events, sharing information, and mobilizing support for programs in Somaliland. Over time, the organization has partnered with other Somaliland community organizations in the U.S. and expanded its focus to include agriculture, health, youth IT education, women’s empowerment, and broader community capacity building.
