Advancing Healthcare in Somaliland

Building Healthier Communities, One Life at a Time

Access to quality healthcare remains one of the most urgent challenges facing Somaliland. Families travel long distances to reach the nearest clinic, only to find facilities understaffed and under-equipped. The Somaliland American community is committed to changing that reality.

Our vision is to support clinics, hospitals, and community health programs across the region — ensuring mothers and children receive the prenatal care, vaccinations, and nutrition support they deserve. Child mortality and maternal health complications are preventable with the right resources, and we plan to work alongside local health workers to close those critical gaps.

We aim to partner with health facilities across Somaliland’s major cities and underserved rural districts to provide medical supplies, equipment, and volunteer healthcare professionals — strengthening existing infrastructure to build a more resilient, sustainable health system for all Somalilanders.

Health education will be central to our approach, bringing knowledge about hygiene, disease prevention, and early medical intervention directly into homes, schools, and mosques. Informed communities are healthier communities.

Looking ahead, we are building a network of volunteer doctors, nurses, and public health professionals from the Somaliland-American diaspora ready to give back their expertise — through medical missions and long-term clinic partnerships. Together, we can ensure no one in Somaliland suffers simply because they lack access to care.
